While Yehudith was still a young girl, she bravely risked her life to save torah from a burning shul.From the time Yehudith began teaching in her teenage years until the end of her life, she had an innate desire and ability to imbue others with her love of Torah and mitzvos. The inspiration to dedicate herself to these values lies in her Shanghai sojourn, a most unlikely origin for a future teacher of American Jewish youth.This rare example, presented to the general public  by Americare's founder Elly Kleinman, is the original letter from Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz.
